How Andrew Tate Hijacked Self Improvement Trend Into Sex War.

It is hard to be an authentic self. Individuals tend to find scapegoats to justify their state of misery and do nothing about it. In the age of instant communication and mass media, Andrew Tate found a way to monetize the frustrated collective by providing scapegoats and validating them.

It began on 4chan:

The /fit/ness board and the infamous /pol/itically incorrect board host threads titled Self Improvement General or /SIG/. The /SIG/ of fitness is usually about fitness, diet, lifestyle and dating advice. But the /SIG/ of /pol/ was, is and always will be a cesspool of degeneracy and self-loathing. It is here where Andrew Tate got his loyal fan-base.

When Andrew Tate met Mikhaila Peterson back in 2020, the /pol/’s hiveminded mental retardation went overdrive and the niche internet celebrity who Andrew Tate was, leaked into other social platforms from /pol/ echo-chamber.

Tate sees an opportunity:

It is natural that boy’s distance themselves from women as an alien being at their early and mid-teens. Teenagers perceive women to be weak and emotional not out of indoctrination but out of observation in sports and difference in interest. This hatred, however, dies out when the teenager dies (metaphorical death) and the adult is born.

Andrew Tate saw the opportunity to capitalize by providing scapegoat to covid lockdown induced depressed teenagers and by delaying the character death. The teenagers were encouraged to join the “hustler university” by fellow “hustlers” which in itself is an echo-chamber. And once there, they’re encouraged to create content for reddit, youtube and instagram to gain profit on every innocent soul they lure into hustler university.

Essentially, the hustler university became a sort of MLM scheme and individuals who seek to “break the matrix” end up working as shills for Tate.

Censorship:

Forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest. The censorship of Tate on media portrayed him as the victim of “matrix” and validated his opinions in the minds of teens. The teenagers experiencing emo phase turned towards Tate as a source of rebellion against the contemporary world and perceived him as some sort of infallible masculine messiah.

Tate wouldn’t be what he is now without the censorship. It is the censorship of opinions and ideas which validates the fringe political ideology and harmful ideas such as misogyny. For a truth to be validated, absolute free speech is required. The truth will triumph in face of evil and wrong opinions.

Healing.

The social media is healing. The algorithms no long suggest Tate’s “shocking” content or opinions partly due to wide disinterest. One can only parrot the opinions so much before sounding like a broken record. Con-artists of the future mustn't be censored but confronted.

The whole Tate fiasco must serve as a reminder against censorship of speech lest wrong opinions be deemed right.
